Strong Wind Warning

Strong Wind Warning

"And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting."

Acts 2:2

The weather has taken a rapid turn from the sub zero temperatures that we were experiencing not long ago. Although the weather yesterday made me feel like spring has arrived in February, it was accompanied by tree bending winds that made it difficult to stand. The wind wasn't a pleasant breeze to accompany a warm day. Instead, it was an inconvenience to any outdoor activities. This windy day made me think about how inconvenient the Holy Spirit can appear to be. She is not always a gentle breeze to accompany the plans that we have made to enjoy a warm day. Sometimes, She is a violent wind that pushes us off of our intended course. As we continue our Lenten series about being Set Apart, I invite us to reflect on those times when God's call in our lives has felt more like an inconvenient wind. The times when the Holy Spirit is a forceful wind that takes us on a journey we could never even imagine embarking on without God.

Blessings, Pastor Caitlyn
