My Body / God's Temple
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you... Therefore, honor God with your bodies." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
When it comes to physical fitness, my life is like a yo-yo. There are long stretches when I'm really good with my exercise and diet. Then, there are long stretches when I neglect my body and take my physical health for granted.
I usually come to my senses when my favorite pants start feeling like skinny jeans. I know I'm in trouble when my lungs cry out for mercy as I walk up a flight of stairs. Of course, the final straw is when I'm offered an ultimatum. My wife (ie "Big Boss") tells me I need to make some changes.

Last weekend, Pastor Caitlyn reminded us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. God gifted us with wonderful bodies. Our job is to be faithful stewards of our bodies while we can, for as long as we can. So, let's take some time today to thank God for our bodies.
Take a few moments to pray. Give thanks for this new day.
Then, take a few minutes to sit up, stretch, breathe deeply, and exercise.
