Heavenly Peas

"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." - Luke 2:14
A brother and sister were singing their favorite Christmas carols. When the little brother concluded “Silent Night” with the words, “Sleep in heavenly beans,” his big sister corrected him gently, but firmly.
“No, little brother,” she said, “it’s not beans, it’s peas.. it’s sleep in heavenly peas.” Beans, peas, both sound good, but Christ came to offer us more than divine vegetables. He came to offer us peace that surpasses all understanding. This Sunday (12/3) is the start of Advent. Advent is the season of preparation. It's the season of watching and waiting for Christ, the source of peace.
I hope you can join us for worship this Sunday. We worship at 9 & 11 AM. If you're not in town or you're not available on Sunday, I hope you'll find another church. As one body in Christ, let's prepare our hearts to worship and receive the Lord.
