Keep It Up

If you're like me, you started off the new year with a few goals.

You want to look better, feel better, and live better.

Now that we're reaching the critical mark (2 weeks into the new year),

let me encourage you. Keep It Up! Don't give up! You're doing great!

Loving God is not merely a spiritual exercise. It is a cooperative, coordinated effort among all the different parts of you. We're created to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This includes our relationships with friends, our stewardship of money, and our care for our bodies.

"Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,

do it all for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

Some of you began the year with renewed commitments to physical health.

If so, keep going! Don't give up!

Some of you have renewed your commitments to spiritual disciplines.

If so, keep going! You're doing great!

Some of you have made commitments to strengthen relationships

with family and friends. If so, keep it going!

The angels in heaven are watching and cheering you on! Don't be discouraged by setbacks.

Setbacks are merely stepping stones toward success. Don't be distracted by old habits. Old habits are like old stains

- it takes time (and elbow grease) to get rid of them.

As beloved children of God, let's respond to God's love with faith

- in ourselves. You can do it! Pastor Caleb
