Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12

Looking through social media and news sites this morning, I realized that there are many possibly historic meetings that are happening right now. To name a few, there is a meeting of the United Methodist Bishops in Chicago, the meeting of North Korean and South Korean Leaders, and the anticipated meeting between the United States and North Korea.

Surrounding these meetings is a lot of baggage. Each person involved will come to these meetings knowing the decades of disagreements and conflict around them.

My prayer is that we learn from our past. We learn that disagreeing doesn't have to lead to malice. We begin to disagree with love, and learn to live with one another in a way that heals the damage that has already been done.

May we resemble God's love through all of our actions, decisions, and meetings.

Blessings, Pastor Caitlyn
