The Best Days are Ahead

"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
- Jeremiah 29:11

Chuck Swindoll tells the story of a man named Worral.  Worral was struck with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 15.  When Chuck met Worral, Worral was 45 years old and he was totally paralyzed except for one finger.  He could barely speak and was totally blind.  However, he had a string tied to his one mobile finger that could turn on a recorder. With this skill, Worral wrote for national magazines. He authored multiple books. He led a happy and influential life from his bed.

How is this possible?

Because - in spite of his circumstances - Worral believed that God had a plan for his life.  He trusted that God could use him (even him) to be a blessing to others.  After initial prayers brought no healing, he accepted his lot and said, "Well, Lord!  If this is the size plot in life you've staked out for me, let's you and me show the world what we can do together."

If you're awake and able to read this eNote, praise God.  God has a plan for your life.  Your best is not in the past.  The best is yet to come.  God wants to use you (your experiences and wisdom, your gifts and talents, even your pain, sorrow, and difficult circumstances,) to bless others and bring glory to God.

So, let's check our attitudes.  Let's give thanks to God.  and let's get busy.

Prayer:
"Well, Lord, it's a brand new day! Thank you for your unfailing love.  Let's you and me show the world what we can do together.  Amen."
