The Gift of Love

One day, Jimmy received a surprise letter that went like this:

"My dearest, Jimmy, No words can express the great unhappiness I've felt since breaking off our engagement. Please say that you'll take me back. No one could ever take your place. Please forgive me. I love you! I love you!! I love you!!! Yours forever, Marie. P.S. Congratulations on winning the lottery."

Have you ever wondered if love was real?

At times, it's easy to think that love is all an illusion. We can become jaded and cynical because of betrayal, disappointment, and insincerity. The Good News - the Bible assures us that love is real, In fact, God so LOVED the world (including us) that he sent His only Son to offer up his life for our safe. Moreover, the Bible reminds us that God is LOVE and that we are God's BELOVED children. On this Valentine's Day, let's share the gift of God's genuine LOVE with others. Let your acts of compassion, kindness, gentleness, and patience (1 Corinthians 13) reflect your words (and cute Valentine cards.)
